"O Sol não é Oco" é uma montagem de elementos em forma de círculo e semicírculo, numa relação de positivo e negativo, mas também de exterior e interior. O conjunto não disfarça a sua execução imediata, onde se imagina a montagem de papéis sobre a mesa, como uma experiência onde se usa o que está à mão. Nesta colagem recuperam-se formas e soluções de "Sol", pelo motivo dos círculos cortados, bem como pelo título. Mas a imagem remete para cartas e esquemas astronómicos, crescentes e minguantes, diagramas orbitais e nuvens luminosas de alguma fotografia de satélite. As formas e palavras apontam linhas tangentes a uma ideia de astro e que se forma na nossa mente no mesmo momento que desaparece, no imediatismo  da montagem de papéis e alfinetes. O que vemos ou percebemos e o que adivinhamos ou imaginamos ver?

"The Sun is not Hollow" is an assemblage with figure-ground relations of negative and positive space, interior and exterior. The drawing set shows the spontaneity and speed of execution, using materials and shapes at hand in the studio. In this picture, some elements from other works are used, such as the circles from "Sun". But the collage reassembles astronomical charts and diagrams and some satellite pictures of stars and nebulae. Words and shapes target some suggestion of an astral figure. A suggestion that comes and goes with the same flickering attitude of assembling paper clips, pins, and assorted shapes. What do we really see, imagine or perceive?  (I)​
