Reflections (Trees), 2018
4 (29,7 x 42) cm China Ink and glue on paper This drawing is developed in a horizontal band by joining vertical strips randomly placed side by side. The drawing/collage is interrupted casually at a moment in time, suggesting incompleteness and suspension. This event underlines the idea of something continuing and flowing in a stream without end. Each strip appears to be an isolated moment in a continuity of time, always moving and always present. Both the title and the process remember Ellsworth Kelly, in the use of random geometric mounting modules, and also, in the depiction of fleeting and unrepeatable forms of foliage reflected on the water.
